অরুণাচল
প্রদেশ একটি অত্যন্ত সমৃদ্ধ স্তন্যপায়ী বন্যপ্রাণীর জনসংখ্যার আবাসস্থল
কারণ বিভিন্ন অক্ষাংশ এবং জলবায়ু পরিস্থিতি বিভিন্ন ধরনের বনের জন্ম
দিয়েছে যা বিভিন্ন ধরণের বন্যপ্রাণীর জন্য অনুরূপ প্রাকৃতিক আশ্রয়, খাদ্য
ইত্যাদি তৈরি করে। এখানে দুটি জাতীয় উদ্যান এবং চারটি বন্যপ্রাণী অভয়ারণ্য রয়েছে। এটি
মিশমি, টাকিন, হুলক গিবন, কস্তুরী হরিণ, ভরল, হিসবিড হেয়ার, উড়ন্ত
কাঠবিড়ালি এবং 500 টিরও বেশি প্রজাতির পাখির মতো বন্য জীবনের অনেক বিরল
এবং অত্যন্ত বিপন্ন প্রজাতির আবাসস্থল।
তাদের মধ্যে নামদাফা ন্যাশনাল পার্কে সম্ভবত দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার যে কোনো সংরক্ষিত এলাকার আবাসস্থলের বিস্তৃত বৈচিত্র্য রয়েছে। এটি অনন্য, এর উচ্চতা 200 থেকে 4500 mts এর মধ্যে পরিবর্তিত হয়। এবং
গোল্ডেন বিড়াল এবং মার্বেল বিড়ালের মতো কম বিড়াল প্রজাতির পাশাপাশি
বাঘ, চিতাবাঘ, মেঘযুক্ত চিতা এবং তুষার চিতাবাঘের চারটি বড় বিড়াল রয়েছে।
প্রাইমেটের
সাতটি প্রজাতি যেমন হুলক গিবন, স্লো লরিস, অসমীয়া ম্যাকাক, রিসাস
ম্যাকাক, পিগটেইল ম্যাকাক, স্টাম্পটেইল ম্যাকাক এবং ক্যাপড ল্যাঙ্গুর এখানে
পাওয়া যায়।
ভারতে পাওয়া তিনটি ছাগলের হরিণ অর্থাৎ সেরো, গোরাল এবং টাকিন এখানে পাওয়া যায়। অরুণাচল প্রদেশ ভারতের একমাত্র স্থান যেখানে তাকিন পাওয়া যায়।
বৃহৎ
স্তন্যপায়ী প্রাণীর মধ্যে, মিতান, যা বন্য গৌড় এবং গৃহপালিত গবাদি পশু,
মহিষ এবং হাতির মধ্যে একটি ক্রস সমভূমি এবং পার্শ্ববর্তী পাহাড়ে পাওয়া
যায়।
অন্যান্য
উচ্চ উচ্চতার প্রাণীর মধ্যে রয়েছে হিমালয়ান ব্ল্যাক বিয়ার, রেড পান্ডা
ইত্যাদি। কস্তুরী হরিণ রাজ্যের কিছু অঞ্চলে পাওয়া যায় যখন রাজ্যের পশ্চিম
অংশে ভরল দেখা যায়।
ছোট
স্তন্যপায়ী প্রাণীদের মধ্যে এখানে প্রচুর পরিমাণে ইঁদুর (কাঠবিড়ালি,
সজারু এবং ইঁদুর), সিভেট, মঙ্গুজ, লিনসাং, শ্রু এবং বাদুড় প্রজাতি পাওয়া
যায়।
অরুণাচল
প্রদেশে পাঁচ শতাধিক পাখির প্রজাতি রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে, যার মধ্যে অনেকগুলি
অত্যন্ত বিপন্ন এবং এই রাজ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ, যেমন সাদা ডানাযুক্ত কাঠের হাঁস,
স্ক্লেটার মোনাল, টেমিঙ্কের ট্রাগোপান, বাঙ্গাল ফ্লোরিকান ইত্যাদি। এই
রাজ্যে সর্বাধিক সংখ্যক প্রজাতি রয়েছে। বিভিন্ন উচ্চতার স্তরে প্রায় দশটি
প্রজাতির তিতির। অরুণাচল প্রদেশ সরীসৃপ, উভচর এবং মীন রাশিতে সমানভাবে সমৃদ্ধ। অজগর এবং সমস্ত রঙ এবং বর্ণনার সাপগুলি নাতিশীতোষ্ণ অঞ্চল পর্যন্ত প্রায় সমস্ত স্তরে বনে পাওয়া যায়।
অমেরুদণ্ডী প্রাণী সম্প্রদায় অরুণাচল প্রদেশের ঘন এবং চিরহরিৎ বনে পাওয়া যায়। অসংখ্য
প্রজাতির প্রজাপতি, মথ, বিটল এবং অন্যান্য সমস্ত ধরণের ছোট প্রাণী অরুণাচল
প্রদেশকে কীটবিজ্ঞানী এবং প্রকৃতিবিদদের জন্য স্বর্গে পরিণত করেছে।
অরুণাচলের 500 টিরও বেশি বিরল প্রজাতির অর্কিড রয়েছে।
